Visit from E Alu Pū
Kaneiolouma was honored to host a large group representing E Alu Pū, a network of people from all islands of Hawaii dedicated to protecting and stewarding the lands and waters of Hawaii. E Alu Pū means move forward together”.
Poʻo Rupert Rowe gave a brief introduction to the history of the Kaneiolouma project, followed by a talk by cultural practitioner Kane Turalde, and an appearance by Poʻo Billy Kaohelauliʻi. The group then toured the viewing platform and spent some time reading the interpretive signs, along with time for questions and answers about the project.
The E Alu Pū Network is supported by the non-profit organization called Kuaʻāina Ulu ʻAuamo. Hui Malama O Kāneiolouma would like to extend sincere Mahalos to the E Alu Pū group for taking the time to visit and share their Aloha. We wish them the greatest of success in all their past, present, and future community efforts.
